Course Materials

The "Taskforce Course Materials" group of the Knowledge Hub aims to enhance collaboration and reduce duplication of efforts in the field of research data management (RDM) training across Flanders. Recognizing the lack of exchange between institutions in
this domain, our initiative seeks to provide research support staff with a centralized overview of available RDM courses offered by Flemish institutions.

To achieve this, we developed a comprehensive spreadsheet cataloguing RDM training materials. The metadata structure for this resource was informed by established standards, combining the EOSC-controlled vocabulary with schema.org to ensure broad compatibility and usability. To maintain a low threshold for participation, we request only the minimum necessary metadata, allowing us to first map a clear overview of available courses within each institution. Over time, our goal is to expand the resource by collecting direct links to the courses. As the licenses for these materials depend on the respective institutions, our approach respects institutional policies while fostering
collaboration.

Our poster highlights the benefits of this growing resource, both as a discovery tool for finding relevant RDM courses and as a platform for institutions to share their own materials. By advertising the list, we aim to engage the community, invite further contributions, and stimulate a culture of open exchange in RDM training. Together, we
can build a more connected and efficient ecosystem for research support in Flanders.
